I’ve been signing up for a bunch of different exchanges and I don't always have time/bandwidth to write a new letter so I decided I needed a master letter! One letter to rule all letters, if you will.
First of all, THANK YOU for writing something for me. I know creating something for someone else can be difficult and scary and I am so very appreciative you decided to take the leap. I am a creator who prefers more guidance rather than less so I've written the below assuming you are too. If not, please don't feel fenced in by this letter. I'm generally pretty easy to please and you can assume as long as something isn't on my DNW list, it's fair game!
DNW: food involved in sex, feeding/stuffing kink, scat, AUs other than canon divergence, ABO, vore, BIPOC characters only existing to further the stories of white characters, focus on male characters.
Smut Likes: Crying during sex. Dirty talk. Power imbalances. First times, either with each other or altogether. Noncon, dubcon and coercion. Incest and pseudo-incest. Ageplay. Mommy/Daddy kink. Characters realizing intense romantic feelings in the middle of sex. Rough sex that turns unexpectedly tender. Trust. Topping from the bottom. Fuck or die. Fic that absolutely shocks me, which is very hard to do.
Below the cut you'll find some of my favorite things about fandoms I frequently request! Don't worry if not all of these are relevant to the exchange we're paired in. They're just meant to be broad strokes.
Critical Role RPF
This is my main fandom at this point, which is extremely weird for me since I actively avoided knowing things about CR for a very long time. But attractive nerds who love each other became VERY comforting during the pandemic. Likes: Ashley-focused fic, either from her point of view or from the pov of someone who adores her. The absolute chaos these women get into. Fic including women other than the big three, like Aabria, Amy or Anjali. The "oh shit we LIKE like each other" moment. Relationship negotiation. Getting high or drunk on girls night and falling into bed together. Intense platonic bonds and years of sexual tension exploding into kink. Filthy banter in bed. Competitive threesomes. Ageplay. The origin story of Ashley's Daddy shirt or Babygirl necklace or both. Chaotic switch Ashley-- even when she bottoms she's got some of that top edge. I know some folks avoid the heavier or darker kinks for RPF but don't feel like you have to do that on my account. I consider them characters, really, because we don't know the actors, just our perceptions of them.
Star Trek Discovery
Michael/Mirror Philippa: I love everything about this pairing, except that their canon is probably closed. I love the journey they make through multiple seasons and how their real feelings about each other are extremely layered. I love that if you tilt your head it's pseudo-incest. I love that they each had the other person in their life already, but only sort of, and that this is the dynamic that actually works best for them. I love how they're both reckless and boundary pushers. I love unexpectedly vulnerable Georgiou. I also love that she's EMPEROR rather than Empress even though there's a precedent for Empress as a title. Is it because she didn't want anyone to dare think there was a man behind the throne? A nod to the idea that there's nothing about her that's binary? Also can we talk about Georgiou being the one who helps Michael realize she's actually bisexual and not just a really great ally? Because I would like to see it.
While the above is my primary Disco ship, I also love every other Michael/Philippa combination (yes, even and especially the incest one), Mirror Georgiou/Mirror Owosekun, Mirror Georgiou/Mirror Owosekun/Mirror Michael, Mirror Owo/Mirror Detmer, and Mirror Georgiou/Michael/Book. You could also toss Nhan or Number One in there anywhere and I'd be happy.
Another Life
I care so much about this show and the fandom is like four people who occasionally post on Tumblr about it, but season 2 premieres 10/2021 so SOMEBODY must be watching it! This show is tropey, horny sci-fi and it's delightful. It has canonical polyamory, a fantastic nonbinary character (played by an enby actor!), and Katee Sackhoff's incredible arms, all of which I love. They rounded up a bunch of total disasters and stuck them on a ship with a hot, buff control freak to lead them and they're all so emotional and drama-prone. Logically there is no way these jerks can save the world, but it's fun to watch them completely bumble their way through trying. I would love the crew as a found family, as well as Niko/Cas. I also love Zayn/Bernie and the Engineering OT3. Honestly the only thing I don't like about Another Life is the whole Erik/earth storyline. I pretend there's no Earth.
Resident Evil Movieverse:
Claire and Alice, the OG Apocalypse Wives. I love the trust. I love that they spend time separated and then reunite with even more sexual tension. Also Ali Larter and Mila Jovovich. I rest my case.
Resident Evil Gameverse:
Moira/Claire: Oh, this one is problematic but I love that. Moira clearly idolizes Claire and Claire is such a mess. Their dynamic is so interesting.
Claire/Jill & Jill/Sheva: Unstoppable force meets immovable object! These women are STRONG and POWERFUL and SMART and FIT and so well matched. They're also all totally traumatized and probably could use a good cry, a good orgasm, or both. They can let their walls down in front of each other and that's a rare gift. I'm also totally down for a Claire/Jill/Sheva situation. Want to play around with the idea that Jill or Sheva hooked up with Claire's brother Chris first? And Claire is out to show them who the truly superior Redfield is? Yes, please.
